The Earth Turns Without Me

The rotation of the Earth can be canceled out by traveling westward at 1158 km/h.
We did so, and while watching the Earth turn, we generated an image which graphically depicts the fact that we were standing still relative to the Sun.

Flying westward at said speed in a Swiss Air Force Tiger F–5, we didn’t turn with the Earth from Glarus to Lucerne. We documented the standstill by taking a picture of the Sun during those four minutes, which resulted in a point.
